Well, I have been in the Louisville/jeffersonville area for almost two weeks- and I must say- I am truly blessed.
My big concern with moving was finding someone to train with. Now, I see how silly it was to worry about that, because I have not only found someone- I found an entire group. I can't thank the Louisville landskarks enough for such a warm welcome. I have met some amazing people who have made me feel right at home. I also must thank Bob and the IAMTri group for recommending this group. I am truly blessed.
Beyond trainging, I was praying that I would have a couple of nice teachers that I would connect with- I not only got one teacher, I have entire faculty and staff at Providence who have made me feel so welcomed. I can see that this is going to be a good fit for me. I''m excited to meet the kids!!
With all the wonderful people I have met, and the wonderful welcome I have received it has given me little time to be home sick, but I will be honest - I miss Hallie sooooooooo much. I know it's only been a week and a half but I feel like it has been a month. I won't see her until the weekend of the race...which as we all know is approaching quickly!!!
Shirts have been ordered, bike has been tuned, mom has seen the course, getting our banquet tickets, we received our bib numbers. Look for me -99 and hallie 113 on the course...and cheer loud!!! We r now in the home stretch!!
Jenna: Sorry to hear about your bike accident. So glad you are ok and so is your bike. Sounds like this move is working out great for you! Great people to train with and work with too. Everything always works out as it is meant to be. I think of you a lot and miss not having you to run with in the mornings. I am so glad you have found a group to run with. I will be thinking of you on race day which I know both you and Hallie are ready for. Congrats on your half-ironman race! Although I know you ended up with foot blisters, the confidence you gained is priceless! I am SO excited for both of you!
